Ann (sometimes called Anna) and I have lived here in Hemel Hempstead since the late 1970s. Our son, Mark, and his girlfriend, Adele, now have their own house in another part of Hemel, and our daughter, Cheryl, has her own flat not too far from here. To complete the household, we have a dog, Sam, and an aviary full of birds in the garden.
