Our Town

Hemel Hempstead is conveniently located between the A41 to the West, the M1 to the East, and the M25 to the South. None of these roads is more than 4 miles from the town centre.

Luton Airport is about 20 minutes up the M1, and Heathrow about 30 minutes around the M25.

Hemel Hempstead and Apsley stations are on the main Euston - Watford - Northampton - Birmingham rail lines, with connections (from Watford) to the North-west.

The town centre has two major landmarks:

Firstly, there is the world-famous Plough Roundabout, otherwise known as The Magic Roundabout.

You can see that around the main roundabout there are six mini-roundabouts.

In the bottom left of the picture, you can also see the shadow of the second major landmark, The Kodak Building, from which the photo was taken (not by me).
